Juan de Juan (Morón de la Frontera, 1979) is an internationally acclaimed bailaor, known for his depth, technique and expressiveness. He began training at the age of seven under Juan Triana and Juana Amaya, before continuing his studies with Manolo Marín and Antonio Canales. At the age of 16, he joined Canales’s company, rising to become its principle dancer. Since 2004, he has directed his own company, presenting productions such as Al sur, Inquietudes and La voz del baile. He has performed in New York, Tokyo, London and Mexico. His dancing combines tradition, power and elegance.

Daniel Casares, guitar

Daniel Casares (Estepona, 1980) is a flamenco guitarist and composer. At just 13 years old, he appeared on the compilation album A la guitarra de Estepona and, at the age of 16, he was awarded the prestigious Bordón Minero Award at the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, becoming the youngest guitarist to win the prize. He has also won the Jaén National Guitar Prize. His discography includes albums such as Duende flamenco, La madrugá, El ladrón del agua, Picassares, La luna de Alejandra and Guitarrísimo, where tradition, lyricism and exploration come together in a unique style.

La Lupi, dancing

Susana Lupiáñez, ‘La Lupi’, (Malaga, 1971) is a leading figure in today’s flamenco scene, known for her elegance, technical mastery and expressive depth as a dancer and choreographer. She trained in classical and Spanish dance at the Malaga Higher Conservatory of Dance and began her career with Juan Maya Marote’s company. In 1999, she founded her own company, presenting productions such as RETOrno, Cartas a Pastora, Mudanza, La Paula, Lenguaje oculto and Épicus, performed in Europe, the Americas and Asia.

Peña Juan Breva

Founded in 1958 in Malaga by a group of enthusiasts, the Peña Juan Breva is one of the oldest in Spain and a leading global flamenco association. True to its founding principles, it organises over 300 annual activities, including studio sessions, conferences and publications, as well as Malaga flamenco singing competitions, congresses on the art of flamenco and guitar classes, among others. It also houses the Peña Juan Breva Flamenco Art Museum. Opened in 1974, it contains over 5,000 unique pieces, a documentation centre and a specialised library with more than 1,000 titles.
